Looking for...set her free
Don't remember the ladies name. Kinda makes it hard to find info on her LOL.
She is a Black woman who had been abused by her husband, ran into the garage and got a gun, then shot it off to ward him off. Did not shoot him. She was arrested and sentenced??? I think.
This stand your ground has to go both ways. Would like to have discussion on it and see if there is anything we can do to set her free.
About to go on a week vacation. Maybe not the best time to bring this up. Get a discussion started then disappear on ya all. But if I could get her name and do a bit of research on the subject would be helpful.

Thanks Twee,
just what I needed and was able to find info.

After reading the story I am seeing a different side of things. Alexander was released on bond and then went to the abusive boyfriend's [Gray] house and assaulted him. The very person she claimed to fear for her life of, shot a gun to ward him off, yet his children were right next to him.
I could understand the first incident if the second hadn't occurred.
Sometimes you get what you ask for.
Dead story for me. To bad for her kids and family though. Seems those are the ones always left to suffer.

IIRC Corey offered a plea deal, and was refused... This is a non issue for me too... Because she was able to get away, she could have called the police if she felt her kids were in danger, and shooting in the air you have no idea who/what you will hit.
