Mermaids? Have you watched the documentary?
Did anyone watch the Mermaid series that is showing on Animal Plant this weekend? If not, it is still running today - there are two 1 hour shows - one is 'the body" and the other is "the evidence" or something like that. I watched it, and I guess the first show was originaly broadcast last year although I didn't see it.
In May 2012, a Mermaids: The Body Found, a pseudo-documentary television film aired on Animal Planet centered around the experiences of former National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists, recorded videos, and scientific theories involving the existence of mermaids. In July 2012 in response to public inquiries, the National Ocean Service (a branch of NOAA) stated that "no evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found.
A year later in May 2013, Animal Planet aired a new program titled Mermaids: The New Evidence featuring previously unreleased video evidence of what a former Iceland GeoSurvey scientist witnessed while diving off the coast of Greenland in an underwater submersible. The videos provide two different shots of a creature approaching their vehicle.
I am astounded that more hasn't been broadcast about this finding - and I can certainly see there being an attempt to stop the discovery of this new species for fear it would stop oil drilling in our oceans if people believed this. Anyway....

I did see it for a bit and I was very intrigued with the head on that alleged mermaid, very humanlike.
We have to be arrogant to believe we are the only species on this earth.
I'd lay money that an Alien or ET tried to experiment or the government did..why aren't more scientists investigating those claims?

Well, I guess I am a sucker for anything. Shame on Animal Planet.

Viewers were glued to the TV watching the new special, getting "Mermaids: The New Evidence" trending on Twitter.
But the whole thing is a hoax -- the original documentary was revealed to be staged. Discovery, Animal Planet's parent company, described the program as "science fiction" based on "scientific theory."
The executive producer of "Mermaids: The New Evidence" told the Mother Nature Network that he wanted people to think it was real -- that's why they made it look like a documentary.
And The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration maintains, "Mermaids: The New Evidence" is just entertainment. Its website reads: "No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found. Why, then, do they occupy the collective unconscious of nearly all seafaring peoples? That's a question best left to historians, philosophers, and anthropologists."

Scoot over, I fell for it too...
They did loose me at aquatic monkey evolution...but it did give food for thought..
I never did buy into the fact that humans were the only ones on this great earth.

I wasn't going for the aquatic monkey evolution either LLL but I do believe there are other intelligent life forms other than ourselves... I believe in UFOs, apparitions, etc. and I am not too sure there isn't really a "Bigfoot" LOL
