How dare we offer a critique of that person?

The life of Steven Alexander has been permanently altered. It is out of his control, he has no say.

This was not a death by disease. It was not a death by a motor vehicle accident. It was a murder--a cold, cruel, vicious murder.

Steven Alexander sat in court day after day after day, with his tattered life on hold, reliving his brother’s butchering on the big screen.

Steven Alexander stood before the jury of his big brother’s murderess and poured his beautiful, strong heart out.

He spoke of his brother having jotted down a message to call him soon, and of how he never got that call.

He told them he can’t sleep in the dark anymore; he told them he would wake from sleep and need to check on his child to make sure she was still breathing.

He spoke of his need to know his brother’s last words; of his need to know how much suffering his brother endured.

His stomach still burns with the desire to help his brother, to somehow give Travis back his life.

These are only a few things that I remember, because I can’t go back and listen to that man’s pain again.

I think it is wrong to judge it. I think it is improper to compare it to our own pain.

We are not Steven Alexander and how dare we judge him; critique him, or offer him advice on how he should manage his own personal grief.

I for one am not judging Steven or any of the Alexander family.

What they have endured with the senseless slaughter of their brother they have a right to be very angry.

As I said earlier, in his own time, he will come to let go of the anger, the pain, well, that might never go away or at the very least it will lessen in time. That I speak from experience.

I wish nothing but the best for them in the future. Since they have said they want to set up a fund in Travis's name, this will also do good for them knowing they are helping others.

I'm very sad they have to go through the penalty phase again. If Jodi truly was remorseful, she'd tell the prosecutor to give her LWOP and she'll forego all appeals. That would be a start for her to show she truly is sorry for her actions. I won't hold my breath tho'...

My thoughts and prayers are with the Alexander family The Personal Pain of Steven Alexander 2987530908
