I don't think so, priss. I think the father killed Trey Zwicker. the question is whether or not Joshua Young was complicit in the murder. I have only heard some of what the HLN is telling about the case, so I take that with a grain of salt until I hear the real facts.

Something in the system failed terribly when Joshua was returned to his stepfather's care, in my opinion.

Jones Brown argued that Gouker put his son up to the murder because he was angry that Trey's mother, Amanda McFarland, had aborted a pregnancy. And Gouker made sure he had alibis that night, having sex with McFarland and going to a gas station and getting cigarettes — as shown on a surveillance camera.
 
Cassie Gouker — Joshua Gouker's neighbor, cousin and sometimes lover — testified that Young woke her up after the murder, about 1:30 a.m., saying he had killed Trey and needed her to drive him somewhere to get rid of a bloodstained baseball bat and clothing.

I don't know enough about this case to render my own decision if Joshua was innocent or not. This so called father is some piece of work...if the above is true...to lay down with his own cousin shows his depraved mind..it appears the older Joshua took Trey's life since the mother aborted a pregnancy..can't get any more depraved than that...

My hope is that if Joshua is returned to this foster family, they keep him close and watch him closely...I don't know how much damage the father instilled in this young man but better to be safe than sorry...

Where was Trey's mother as this was happening to him?

Rest in Peace Trey....at least the one who pleaded guilty is doing life.
