Wow. The defense team's desperation is really showing. Besides trying to get this trial shut down, I'm wondering if this was filed to lay the foundation so that when she gets convicted, she can appeal on grounds of ineffective assistance of counsel. Not that I think they have a chance at either.

Something that pops into my mind about the above bold is how could she use that as an excuse? I mean look how many time's he's filed a motion for miss-trial. I would take that as being on the ball and not ineffective

Good point LOL it is kind of an oxymoron. Ineffective counsel who files motions left and right for a defendant doesn't sound very ineffective to me In an essence they are also saying her counsel cannot be effective because the prosecution's conduct... but me thinks they just can't "beat" Juan hence they are ineffective. That's just silly. Numi and Wilmott are just s (plural).

ETA: has anyone seen Jodi's manifesto yet? I've looked but haven't found anything yet.

What I'm thinking is that they are saying that if this motion is denied, which I expect it would be, they cannot effectively defend their client, hence they then have an argument for appeal.

For all of you that left....the Judge told the bailiff that they needed Jodi back at 1:00 AZ Time, 4:00EST. So there may be a hearing on the Motion for Mistrial at 1:00...or something.

Because the judge told the jury to be back at 1:30, so whatever they are doing at 1 p.m. is without the jury.

According to another website (MyDeathSpace.com) re: The Manifesto....

The Huffington Post requested a copy, but the Prosecution is waiting for the court to rule on how it should release information to the public, due in part (I believe) to a motion for mistrial by the defense today. Something about how the court is out of control and the public is hating on the defense team's witnesses.

So who gave her the idea of Snow White? Why would she randomly draw a pic of Snow White with a black eye? Did Ms Lav tell her about the "Is Snow White a Battered Woman?" speech?
Jodi certainly didn't bring it up as she would have no way of knowing LaV ever made that speech. Therefore Jodi knew about the "Snow White" connection from Ms LaV (or I guess her attys) way before her trail ever started. Did she know Juan would jump on that and it may be her downfall......she had not a clue.....lol

I believe that Martinez exposed the "Violet" for what she really is. A liar just like Jodi. It was her who implanted the crap about "using sex to calm down Travis" and also the "negative writing".

All their testimony was too simular, between Dr. Samuels, LaV, and Jodi. This is why Jodi seemed so sure of herself while on the stand, she knew she had her back up coming up next Jodi really does think she is Einstein.

I would love to know what books were sent to Jody by LaV. They all (Nurmi, Walmott, Samuels LaV) wanted to mold Jodi, they all knew exactly what Jodi's answers were going to be. A few times Jodi messed up with an answer, so Nurmi would come back with the question.

Some may think that Martinez is too aggressive, but that's probably the way he works and he does his best doing it that way. I love it, he gets his point across, he exposes the defense witnesses ( in fact he puts them in shock). One thing for sure Martinez does his homework, he leaves no page unturned.

When this is over, i'm sure Jodi wont think she is Einstein anymore.
