--that doesn't sound fair to me, like any other "bad act", why can't they just be prohibited from mentioning it at the new trial?

Jury asks if deadlock on one count means mistrial on whole case. Judge: no, only that count is mistried. Jury back deliberating.

--good thing the jury questioned if the entire case would have been thrown out if they deadlocked on one count.....since that's what the Allen charge doc they were given stated.

--it could have affected their entire "new" deliberations!!!!!

so if they have a verdict on four then the self defense cant be an accepted premise because So if they accepted self then the whole case would be an acquittal right? If these jurors get a verdict on the first count it can only be guilty if my thinking on the previous is correct.

Wow - I missed the verdict...I've had on my ear phones all day - all friggin day - and when the talking heads came on, I turned the sound down and I'll be damned if they didn't come back and I didn't know it.

Oh well, at least they convicted him on the 4 remaining counts. I sure hope Corey retries him on the Murder 1 count too.
