I've been reading around, and my honest opinion is that the State did a lot better job presenting their case than they are being given credit for.

As to why the roommates never noticed the odor, I have no answer for that one. I am wondering if the air-conditioatner was left on at a very cold temperature. Also, remember they said that Travis's bedroom was secluded from the rest of the home. By the way, where was Travis's dog when the roommates entered the home? Let's hope & pray that the Jury is really paying close attention. I completely agree with you about the State doing a good job of presenting their case.

It may be that the jury is trying to eliminate everyone else to make sure JA is the one that did this horrible murder.

In a lot of ways I think she was smart (as in a physcopathic way) but in so many ways she was just stupid.

I agree with most of what you said except for the part about Jodi Arias's. Mother. Sorry. The reason being is that Jodi's Mom should realize that what her daughter did to another human being is heinous. She should have insisted that she turn herself in to the authorities. I think it's highly unlikely that Jodi Arias will get the Death Penalty. In the event she is found "not guilty", the Jury will be responsible for unleashing a very dangerous psychopath/sociopath back out into society. I completely understand why any Mother would want to protect her child. However, if that child slaughters another human being the way that Jodi Arias did to Travis Alexander, they need to be held accountable for their actions.

Actually Booklover444 I do think we agree. You may just have to get used to my sick sense of humor.
I don't know if she'll get the DP either but they have sat a DP qualified jury. Hopefully they wont be like another jury in Florida.

Hello, Chickenbutt. :) Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope & pray that the Jurors are not like the ones who set Casey Anthony free. I just hate the way Jodi Arias's Mom showed absolutely no emotion while looking at autopsy photos of Travis Alexander, and yet CRIED when she saw photos of her daughter's vagina? Sorry, I just couldn't resist that one. I also heard that when Jodi Arias was around 6 or 7 years old she hit her younger brother over the head with a baseball bat! Her Mom had to have been aware of this type of behavior. Why didn't she get help for her daughter? I just hope the Jurors will see Jodi Arias for what she really is, a cold-hearted, vicious & vindictive murderer. There is so much overwhelming evidence against her, including many of her own words. I sure hope the Jurors are not sitting on their brains.

I love your post. I can already see your sense of humor and think we will have much in common here.

What I don't get is that people like CA and JA had to have shown some signs of something thru out their lives. Were their parents just not paying attention?

I threw a pair of pliers at my oldest brother as a kid. I missed him and broke a window and got my back side warmed up pretty good.
I agree CB about showing signs in their families and I just don't understand the protection mode that these parents present. I would think they would be relieved to have there child locked up as to not have to walk on egg shells the rest of their lives.

I don't know much about Jodi Arias's Mom either. However, I get the feeling she's very much like Cindy Anthony. Cold, callous and very uncaring for others. Compassionate people don't usually produce children like Casey Anthony & Jodi Arias. If you don't agree with me, that's fine. I've always believed the old saying, "Children learn what they live." I'm sure your sons really love each other because it sounds like they have a great Mom. About my eyes, I have RA otherwise known as Rheumatoid Arthritis. Contrary to what a lot people believe, RA is not just Arthritis. It is a very serious Autoimmune disease that affects all organs of the body. I was taking Methotrexate for 4 years, which is what they also give to Cancer patients. I didn't realize my serious vision problems until only a few months ago. I knew that I was having blurry vision. However, I didn't realize how bad it was until I covered my left eye and discovered that I could see almost nothing out of my right eye. That's why I chose the green eye avatar I'm using as my profile picture. My eyes are also green which made me like that avatar even more. So, there you have it. Just so you know, some days I might have to use the larger font when my eyes are really bothering me. Thanks for understanding & caring. As far as the vision in my right eye coming back, I'm not certain. I've been off Methotrexate for over 2 months now. Still no improvement. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Also, I just wanted to add that I'm on Facebook too. I just love the creative things you can do there.

Hi, One. :) I can tell I like it here already. I feel so comfortable thanks to the warmth I feel from all of you. I have such trouble with my eyes now thanks to that terrible medication. I just love using Smilies or Emoticons, whatever one wants to call them. I think they're so adorable. I think it's natural for brothers & sisters to fight. However, when a child takes a harmful item like a baseball bat to their sibling, it's time for the parent to sit up and take notice. I don't know about you, I am getting so SICK of hearing & seeing that video of Jodi Arias singing, "Oh Holy Night". It ticks me off like you wouldn't believe. Also, hearing all of the BS that comes out of her mouth makes me want to toss my cookies every time. I can't imagine why anyone would think that Travis Alexander was the aggressor? He was in the shower naked, and oh so very vulnerable for God's sake. What was he going to attack Jodi Arias with, his penis? Sorry, I just couldn't resist that one either. :)

Arias’ high school friend Tina Ross (formerly Tina Brazzi) told the Daily News on Thursday that she was “totally shocked” when she learned Arias had been arrested for murder.

“She was a kind and gentle spirit,” said Ross. “This was totally out of character for Jodi. She was not a violent person.”

Ross said Arias was a good student and came from a loving family, and she believed Arias’ parents always wanted what was best for their daughter.

However, “Jodi had a way of picking bad boys,” Ross recalled, adding that she remembers one of Arias’ high school boyfriends who she described as “controlling.”

“From a young age, she started picking guys that were just not the best choice for her. And she was such a beautiful girl,” she said.

Ross noted that while Arias seemed to be drawn into relationships that had warning signs of domestic violence, she never observed that Arias reacted “over the top” to breakups.

Ross commented that based on Arias’ history, she believes that there was domestic violence in her relationship with Alexander.

Richard Rangel, a Yreka High School art teacher, said he fondly remembers when Arias was his art student.

“She was very conscientious, very smart, very hard working and very skillful,” Rangel recalled. He added that she mastered all mediums and was usually the first student to complete an assignment.

“One of the things that stood out to me about her was she was always perfect,” said Rangel, referring to the flawless appearance of her hair, makeup and clothing.

“There were no signs of violence or a temper; she was on the mellow side. She was very quiet and always seemed more mature than rest of the kids. She had a maturity about her that was noticeable,” he said, adding that she never became upset by critiques in art class.

BL, hopefully your vision will return and you will find another medicine to deal with the RA. In the meantime, do whatever you need to do to post with us. We will adjust to whatever you need to do.

Moms.....what to say about them? I was and am a "mean mom". I demand respect from my boys and grand dgts. I learned a long time ago that most things are not really important. A clean room, long hair, saggy pants....it all makes no difference in the big picture. I finally learned to focus on the important things in life, respect, education, responsibility, safe sex and no police record.
Life was much easier and less stressful after that discovery. My mantra....if it won't matter in 5 years, it doesn't matter now.
I suspect Cindy Anthony and Jodi's mom never learned the art of responsibility. They turned a blind eye (hahaha, sorry) to the signs and preferred to ignore it rather than confront their dgts, to the detriment of the girls. Sadly, we are raising a generation of kids that seem to think they have the right to do as they wish and not take responsibiity. We award them for going to school everyday (as is their job) and studying. We don't keep score at Little League games, so they never learn the art of losing gracefully. We do not at all prepare them to one day be fired from a job, get dumped in a relationship etc. They have a feeling of entitlement without putting in the work......

Yep, the air-conditioner has been attributed to controlling the odor--at least somewhat. Also, she took time to close and lock Travis' bedroom door--so that probably contributed, as well.

I did eventually read where Travis pretty much allowed Napoleon the run of the house, and one of the roommates had agreed to feed and walk him while Travis was 'out of town.'

Also, the roomates only answered the door if they were expecting company. When I read that it helped me understand why no-one answered when Ms. Hall first went to Travis' home, and why she heard Napoleon barking up a storm.

I guess, though, that the prosecutor didn't really have to explain this to the jury. Since Jodi is now claiming self-defense, this type of detail becomes irrelevant apparently.

The more high-profile the case .. - the more public interest and demand...

This attractive--(but evil, imo)--young woman fooled people. It's as simple as that. Indeed that is one of her greatest talents--and she does seem to have a few. Will she fool the jury? Now that is the question.

My mind has no trouble believing that she could commit such an atrocious, merciless murder all by her little self.

She planned it, she came prepared to execute her plan, and she had the element of surprise on her side.

If the her ex is to testify .. he could be quite a powerful witness for the defense...

If TA really "broke her finger(s) .. deformed her hand ... etc .. etc .. in one of many of his angry outbursts" (whatever it says there in the article at the link) .. surely it's not going to look too good to the Jury...

The "picture perfect" TA ... starting to look like had some flaws... - verbal abuse (surely, as we already heard) .. sexual BS / frastration / games or whatever it was...

I have a hard time trusting or believing someone who uses the term "douchebag" to describe a fellow co worker. I also have a hard time with him saying that he asked Jodi not to involve him, and she didn't, yet here we are reading about him....hmmmmm

How does he know TA broke her finger? Was he there? Heard it from her? Like she is believeable....I put no stock in anything he has to say, nor do I think the jury will.
About TA's sexual proclivities.....fantasys are not a crime. If he wants to picture her in his head as a 12 y/o, go for it. He wants to be tied up, have at it.....who are we to say any of that is rong as long as he has a consensual, adult partner?

Not a crime.....a sin. There are "fallen" souls in all religions. IF he had fallen, he had the opportunity to redeem himself and move back into the Mormon lifestyle.
