Aside from what some of the media is saying, I think Martinez is doing a fantastic job. If he was to show sympathy to Jodi, that wouldn't send the right message to the jury. If I were on the jury and I saw the prosecutor show her any sympathy I would get mixed feelings as to her guilt. Martinez should keep up in the very same fashion that he has been doing. We want a guilty verdict, one of first degree murder.

Jodi is a pathological liar and a murderer, she premeditated this murder as sure as hell.

I agree that Martinez is doing a fantastic job! It pains me a bit when I hear all the complaints about him.

I missed some of the trial myself. I like posting the vids so that we can watch them later and have a record of the trial here at the site (and to try and keep up with all of JA's lies... which is really hard to do lol)

Don't take it personally, Gizmo! We all appreciate your comments! There are many nights when I'm the only one online due to timezone differences, so I know what you mean!

I agree about Martinez. You make a good point about the sympathy/mixed feelings. I think she deserves nothing less than to be grilled in his aggressive style. I think he'll drop some bombshells during rebuttal, too. Can't wait for that!

I also agree. Martinez could and should do nothing less that he has done with Jodi. She is one of the oddest ducks I have ever seen.
I believe the jury sees that also.

I read somewhere (I am sorry I don't remember where) that the talking heads are given a sort of script or side of story that they are to take each day. It was from someone who was on TV during the CA trial. They decided they would not participate in another trial again because they did not like being told what to say or do.

I am wondering if this is part of the negativity that is shown against Martinez.

I am looking where I read it and when I find it I will post.

But just a thought of why Martinez is getting such a bad wrap.

OMG! Have you all seen the video they are showing on HLN today? When Jodi was arrested, and left alone in the interrogation room, she not only did the yoga stretch we've seen before, but she also was laughing to herself, saying she should have put on her makeup. Then she did a headstand against the wall, and THEN she was digging through the trashcan! In the police station! The gall of this woman continues to astound me.

CP, do you think she knew she was being tapped so she just decided to act crazy? I don't know... maybe she is a nut case. obviously I know something is not right with her, for her to savagely murder Travis, but I didn't know she was this odd. Before it's all said and done, I'm afraid of what I will find out next... Wow. Just wow.

No, I don't think for a minute that she did this intentionally to appear crazy. I think she is just a nut case, as you put it. And this was 15 minutes after sobbing in front of Det. Flores! (THAT was an act, if you ask me). To me, this is the real Jodi. I believe her attitude at the time was "I'm smarter than anyone else; they'll never pin this on me!" The rummaging through the police's trash can showed me just how invasive and prying she could be. This woman knows no boundaries!

I so wish this video could be shown in court, but I'm sure it wouldn't be allowed (too prejudicial against her).

Not funny...Not funny at all. How would you feel if your Mother, Sister, Aunt, Daughter, Wife were abused like Nicole Brown Simpson was and then murdered?

I saw it. I have a feeling she knew she was still being video taped. Her light bulb dosen't shine to bright. I find her very repulsive.

I do too CP. This may not make sense but I have to say it. How prejudicial is to not show it for Travis' sake? I so hope this woman get's the DP. I wonder what other little nuggets we will see before all of this is over.

I saw her performance.

I have hesitated to say this because everyone thinks Jodi is smart. But I personally think besides having a social psychological problem she has a lower level IQ. Not retarded but less than she thinks.

She so often uses words that she does not understand and then uses them in the incorrect context. She also does not understand that her argumentative attitude is turning people off.

She just doesn't seem to have the "smarts" to put her actions and consequences together.

I think people are giving her more credit for things she does that seem to end up be accidents.

I also find her repulsive and a "nut case".

I guess if could be her lack of formal education also.
